I had the most amazing experience working with the team at Maui Makeup Artistry. Planning a wedding from a distance can be stressful and I was particularly worried about my hair and makeup as a Black woman. I wanted to ensure whomever did glam had experience with my hair texture and skin color. When I reached out to the team they reassured me they could handle the job, but that was an understatement. They knocked it out the park! Amber went above and beyond for my hair. Since I had visited the beach several times before the wedding, my sew in was in rough shape (lol) but she did such a good job reviving it and styling my hair so it looked brand new. Camille in all honesty did my makeup better than anyone ever has before. Her color and blending skills are superb. The team was truly phenomenal. On time, professional, easy to communicate with. It was really such an easy and relaxed time getting ready. If any other women of color are considering them, you will be in good hands.

Herself and the team are such great energy and really listened to the vision I had while I couldn't exactly voice it, we had the best time getting ready and everyone looked like movie stars. My mother and bonus mom were so happy with their looks - and the makeup did not feel cakey but stayed put throughout the sun baked ceremony and all night as we danced. Everyone looked like themselves, but the version that they wanted to see without looking off brand from each other - nothing heavy or fake at all and they only used products that made my very senstive skin feel great.

To add to the teams credit -the wedding was also published in British Vogue!!

Thank you to Maui Makeup Artistry for getting myself and all of my girls ready for my wedding! I am from San Diego and did a lot of research on hair and makeup for my big day. I found Maui Makeup Artistry via Instagram and I never looked back!! I did not get the chance to do a trial and was pretty nervous, but thankfully had a lot of inspo pictures. My nerves were gone quickly the day of the wedding when the team showed up including Marissa and Val on makeup & Amber and Kenzie on hair. I looked through numerous makeup artists here on Maui before deciding who to go with, and they did not disappoint in the slightest! I really think Liz and her team are the most versatile you can find and really know how to do a wide variety of looks. I wanted some vintage/old Hollywood glam with some modern thrown in (I need shimmer), and I got exactly what I wanted , thank you Amber!

Liz and Amberlee saved my maternity shoot! I decided last minute the pictures would definitely look better with hair and makeup, so called Liz the day before for help. She was able to book me with Amberlee - who was INCREDIBLE. I rarely wear makeup, so really stressed a natural look. I've never had professional makeup and hair done so well that stayed so true to myself. I looked amazing but not like a different person, my husband also kept complimenting the look! How do I even begin to start sharing how INCREDIBLE my experience was with Maui Makeup Artistry! Sarah & Anna were professional, sweet and absolutely talented. They came to my hotel room, had everything they needed, propped me up in a chair and did their work. It was such a pampering experience. They turned my pinterest images into a Bride more stunning than I realized I could be. Brought tears to my eyes and definitely my husbands during our first look.
